Giving Forgotten Materials a Second Life
I’ve always been drawn to fashion. But over time, I became aware of its impact. The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world. I realized that most of the clothes we wear today, once out of style or forgotten, end up either burned or dumped in massive landfills — especially in West Africa, where my mother grew up.
At Mensah, we reject that wasteful cycle. We give a second life to what’s considered trash: abandoned textiles, forgotten fabrics, deadstock materials. It’s our way of turning leftovers into treasure.
Creating bags is how I choose to act. On my scale, I want to contribute to a more conscious, sustainable fashion system. That’s why I chose to work within the circular economy. Every Mensah piece tells a story of a material that found new purpose, and of a gesture that refuses to waste.
Mensah proves that luxury can be both beautiful and responsible.
